How to get 5.1ch sound from ps3?

i knoe i've to connect hdmi cable , but to what i mean to a av receiver or what,?

pls tell me the whole fundament....

Best way is to use the HDMI cable to your TV for picture and then use an optical cable from the PS3 to your receiver.

It depends on your Amp/Receiver, if you have HDMI connections on your Amp then it should accept it (they must be able to pull audio from the HDMI cable and that PS3 provides Audio over HDMI) if your Amp does not use HDMI for audio then use Digital Coax or Fiber optic connections to your amp from the PS3.
