  1. It is very easy go to the nearest BSNL customer care center and apply for a broadband connection. Some areas give a BBND free with a landline connection. Choose a plan which suites you the most.

  2. if u have a bsnl phoneline connection then go to nearest xchange take a applcation form fill it & submit.in the form all details were given like types of connections ,modem etc .u can also apply online on[ www. bsnl. co. in] in broadband icon

  3. Simple..go to bsnl office and fill up broadband application.........landline is compulsory....

  4. Please do open this page "http://www.bsnl.in/service/dataone.htm"... There you will find a "Tariff" hyper-link, near the top. Click-it then decide which access plan is suitable for you. You may also check for the following info as well:

    - whether broadband service is available in your area;

    - bsnl land-line plans (and Land-line + Broadband combo plan), if you don't have a bsnl land-line.

    You may fill up a subscriber form or download and print it.

    OR

    Go to nearest BSNL office then ask for info and form, fill it up and deposit it. Probably you want it for home use. I suggest you buy the ADSL router (broadband modem) for Rs. 1200 (type-I) or for Rs. 1800 (type-II) if you plan to use more than one computer at once to surf the net. Type-II has 4 ethernet ports while Type-I has 1 ethernet + 1 USB port. If you have just two computers then the Type-I router may be used by both of them (one connected through the ethernet port and one through the USB port).

    Process:

    After a few days (may be 2 weeks)  the modem will be installed by one of bsnl employee (or its casual contractors). A PPPoE (Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet) dialer will also be configured in your computer. After 72 hours you will be called to collect the user names and passwords (or may be informed over the phone). Now use the PPPoE dialer and your username/password to connect. That's it.

    Enjoy surfing the net at 256Kbps-->2Mbps.

    Love...

    PS: Unlimited access plans have fixed bandwidth (256 / 512Kbps); but restricted (by upload/download) plans starts from 256Kbps and automatically will increase to as high as 2Mbps depending on your requirement. Most people will overlook this trick by BSNL; you don't, do you?

    AND "Kbps" or "Mbps" is in "bits per second"; not in "Bytes per second"! Divide it by 8 to arrive at "KBps" or "MBps".

  5. Go to the nearest bsnl office ans ask for an broadband application.fill it up and submit.Phoneline is compulsary
