How to get Samsung E900 off silent mode?

Okay, this is my dad's phone not mine, Ive never had a Samsung phone before, just motorolas and nokias, so I've not much idea how to work it! It's been put on silent mode by someone and we can't figure out how to switch it off and make it loud again....help please?
