How to get Sharpie out of jeans?

Ok about 2 years ago i had a pair of jeans that were too big on me, so i decided to have people sign them with sharpie on the last day of school. Now 2 years later they fit perfectly and i love them. Problem is, they have Sharpie all over them! even though it's been a couple of years, is there any way to save them and get the marker out, or is it too late?

If you have washed it since it was written on the stain is probably set, but it is definitely worth trying.

I have had great results with a product called Spot Shot.  It is pretty cheap and you can find it at Walmart in the carpet spot remover area.  It is a product for carpets but it can also be used for clothes.

Buy a can of Goof Off, they have it at Walmart, it WILL remove Sharpie, I have used it for that purpose.  It is very strong smelling and you need to wear a mask if you are going to use a lot to protect your lungs, I would use it outdoors as well.  The fumes are awful, but it works!  :-)
