How to get a cat to behave?

How can i get my cat to stop jumping on the kitchen counter and in the sink, (humane please)

If you can catch him in the act, try a loud noise to scare him (it won't hurt him, I promise).  

I used a soda can with some nuts and bolts in it.  I shake it hard and my cat jumps down off whatever i don't want her on.  Worked like a charm!

Haha, that's kind of a funny question, since cats seem to think THEY are the bosses around the house, but hopefully your cat is young, that way it will be easier. A spray bottle with water should do the job, since cats hate water, especially suprise sprays, just one spray a time should work, but that is only if your cat is still young, older cats tend to think they run everything and may get mad at you for walking all over "their" floors lol

We have had several cats, currently 8, and the best way to discourage a cat is with a squirt of water.....it's the only humane way to keep them from doing something. And it works - it just takes alot of time..and I mean alot! Good luck! they are wonderful creatures.

if you want your cat to behave you have to train if its a fat-cat you should train it with food
