  1. i dont know what kinds of things youre having your cat do, but cats and dogs do not have the intelligence or capability of doing chores regularly, nor will they remember to do them daily. if you can manage this, then im speechless. almost every cat cant be trained as it is, so to have it do chores is an amazing and very difficult request

    my point in this answer...

    its not gonna happen!

give her a more simple task...look cute, love you, and purr

  2. You aren't assigning the right tasks.

Annoying you on the computer, rearranging papers, eating bugs and rodent control are their specialties. They do not vacuum - it is beneath them and they definitely do not do windows.

  3. Ha!  The only job a cat must do is own you....and occasionally catch a mouse if needed.  Then it's their job to find the most inappropriate time to bring you their "present".

  4. dont bother trying to get your cat to do much for you.

  5. Thats cute. Give her some tuna and milk and maybe she will start doing some things around the house.

  6. It cracks me up when people say that cats and dogs don't have the intelligence to do chores around the house (see above answer). Let's see... they sleep in, lounge around the house, get all most comfortable spots to chill in and the best windows to look out of, all while we feed and otherwise take care of them while doing housework, homework and every day 9-5 work.

Ummm.... who has the intelligence in this picture?

My cat's catly responsibilities are meeting me when I get home from work, listening to me vent about my day and curling up with me and night and reminding me that life isn't so bad, as long as you have a loving creature to share it with.

    Those responsibilities she does perfectly.

  7. that would be tough, cats dont have the need to please there masters like dogs do. They just care about themselves lol

  8. How exactly do does responsibilities look like? If you want her to wash the dishes, take the garbage out or mow the lawn - get a dog, they are much better at that (except for the lawn mowing - no one beats a sheep at that task).

If you mean the more traditional duties like looking cute, providing a lapwarmer when you need one or keep your flower bouquets and houseplants trimmed - just give her a bit of time, she will soon happily take those duties on if you keep the food coming and the litterbox clean.

    Good luck!
