  1. It also REALLY helps to make a "contribution" to the church with your request.

  2. You need to know where were you baptized, not only the church but the parrish it belongs to. Also of course, the name of the person as it is stated in the document and the date.

Then you can find out the parrish's phone number and ask if they could send a copy to you by mail. Churches send documents by mail all over the world all the time for marriage permits and stuff, sending a Fe de bautismo is not common, but maybe they would do it if you explain your situation. They could send it to your local parrish instead of to you directly.

Of course you'd have to pay for this service, as in all offices, are there offices that give you documents for free? NO, then why would the Church do it? some people just don't get it.

If you have the info but can't find the phone number ask again, my husband has access to a parish phone book nation wide.

  3. If you can't go to Zacatecas yourself, then someone there has to help you. You can't get it by mail or request it via e-mail.

First of all, you have to know the parish (parroquia)  in which you were baptized, since that's where the book with your certificate is kept. They will also ask for your full name (as stated in the certificate) and the date of your baptism.

Many parishes can give you a copy on the same day.

Of course all churches accept donations, I was once given an envelope and the secretary suggested giving something like 100 pesos (less than 10 dollars).

  4. What the 2 people above said or find someone in Zacatecas to get it for you.

  5. I'm sure if you call the consulate or chuch they can give you info on what documents you need to send to them.

What part of Zacatecas are your from? Just wondering...

  6. Maybe you could contact the Zacatecas Diócesis and ask them:

    Hope it helps.

    También espero que hables español.
