  1. Everyone is in the same boat now days.

either you have a parent whom will vouch

for you.  Or you need to go it alone.

that is you need to convince the bank your

getting enough money to pay something off.

If you own a car , or are paying one of, then

you will have a credit rating, say you have been

paying it already for 6 months.

Your other solution go to a store where you want

a card for purchasing goods , and once you have

it , hand it over to a parent to control , so that your

not tempted.  This is what a member in my family

    does and it works perfectly.

  2. Sorry but the best way I did mine, and the fastest, was to apply for my favourite store's credit card. I got a limit of $500 dollars. For about the first three months, I made very small purchases, waited one week, then paid the card off. By sixth months my limit was increased and I had a "credit rating".

  3. You need to establish credit history before applying for credit cards, loans and mortgages. I would suggest that you get a "secured" credit card and use it to restablish credit and improve credit score. I think you should not apply for any new credit for next six months.

  4. The best way is to goto a store, any store. buy something like a toaster, but buy it on layby or on credit if you use layby do the payments from your bank card.

Another good way is to take out a loan with your bank. if you never miss a payment and you pay it all back that will give you a credit rating.

The hardest thing about getting a credit rating is you kinda need a credit rating to get one. sounds stupid i know.
