OK I bought this JVC hrad drive based camcorder and I am not able to get the time stamp on the video recording. HOwever the time stamp displays while recording. BUt after I transfer the video to the PC and replay the video, I dont see the time stamp on the video

Does anyone know how to get the time stamp on the video using 3rd party software like windowms movie maker , cyber link s/w etc?

  1. The time stamp isn't recorded as part of the video - it's held in a separate .moi file.  JVC produce an app to rename the .mod files based on the .moi content but I don't know of anything to date/time stamp the video automatically.
