How to get a feild mouse off a trap?

Question

There is a baby feild mouse stuck to a gluey trap. How can i get it off without hurting it?

i've not had the best luck with getting them off the traps. i don't think you can

I've had one of these traps. I think I read on it you can use vegetable ir baby oil to try to get the glue off. But if you don't want to hurt him don't just rip him off. Let the oil set awhile so it soaks through the sheet. He should come off pretty easily.
