Question:

How to get a flawless face?

I have normal to dry skin and some acne. Whenever I use makeup I still look like I have never slept and my face is blotchy in some areas.

<I use mac pressed powder, bobbi brown blush and some mascara (pretty basic) - and proactiv (which is working on my skin)>

I was wondering how you get a flawless face like some celebrities (and please don't say that they spend a lot of money on facials and have professional stylists and their faces are airbrushed b/c I know all of that) but some people like keira knightly and hilary duff have flawless faces without makeup

also my mom wont let me use liquid foundation b/c she says it will "clog my pores" any ideas???

thanks!

  1. wet your sponge a little bit put it in your foundation and put it on your forehead, chin, undereye and cheeks. then rub it from the middle of your face outwards(make sure you get your hair line so it looks natural) and blend all around your face

put some mascara and blush on like you normally would

i personally found out the the MAC liquid gives me more of a natural finish look

  2. Yeah.. MAC liquid foundation had clogged my pores haha.

But Diorskin Forever Flawless liquid foundation doesn't.

Sometimes I pull out my old MAC Studio Tech CREAM Compacts and it works ok.. doesn't clog pores.

I have the same skin as you (+ sensitive).

I really think powdered foundations are only for oily skin that actually has some moisture to make the foundation work.

If you have dry skin, it's like smacking flour on your face and calling it foundation - it doesn't hold.

So just try out a GOOD liquid or cream foundation (DIOR, MAYBE MAC [last resort], makeupforever I heard is good to), use concealer if needed, and the only powder you need is powder to SET your foundation and/or concealer.

Throughout the day, the makeup tends to settle on your face more (or at least it does on mine) and it looks more natural than when I put it on.

  3. try a mineral powder foundation, which has no perfumes etc and will not clog pores. or try a matte powder. brands such as rimmel, l'oreal or maybelline sell these products. and for the dry skin, every night apply moisturiser.

  4. try out all different powders and see whats for you and try eyeliner its so kewl and try i slightly reder shade for blusher on ya cheeks and sort out ya achne by using all different treatments :D you will feel better when the achne is sorted trust me ..x

  5. First of all, there are many brands of oil-free liquid and mousse foundation that will definitely not clog your pores.

If you are looking flawless face, you will have to start with a moisturizer(one that suits your skin type), or a primer. Some foundations come with primers.

Then the foundation...it is very important if you want to avoid blotches. Pick one that matches your skin tone exactly. If you have acne, only use a clean sponge, and for more sheer coverage, dampen the sponge a tiny bit before evenly applying over your face. Make sure it is blended well and there is no line showing around your jaw/neck area.

Now for concealer. If you want to brighten up under the eyes, pat on a concealer all around the eye, unerneath, lids and all. It should be a shade or two lighter than your regular foundation.

Touch up any remaining red spots with a neutralizing concealer by dotting it on and blending well.

Quickly finish entire face (including around eyes) with either a loose or pressed powder. Loose is better for the initial make-up job, pressed of course for touch-ups during the day. You should use only hypo-allergenic. Mineral make-up works well for many, but it may make dry skin seem even drier.

You should have a great blank-slate to now color on.

For blush, use a large brush, and don't choose a color that's too dark or you'll look like a clown. Smile, and brush in a sweeping up motion from the cheekbones up to the temple. A little should go a long way.

You could use bronzer as blush also if you like.

If you need bronzer on the rest of your face, again use a large brush...lightly dust in a downward sweep from top of your forehead all the way down to end of chin until you finish your face. It will appear as if you were truly sun-kissed.

Now choose whether your focus will be the eyes or the lips...don't get carried away with both or you might look like a stripper.

Apply lip-balm or chap-stick before lipstick. To avoid yellow looking teeth, never use lipstick with orangey or brownish undertones (unless you do have perfectly white teeth)

As far as your eyes, it depends on the situation and how much makeup you like to wear. Just remember eyeliner on the top lids makes your eyes look bigger, on the bottom lids only makes your eyes seem droopy. Liquid liner is great for the top lids.

Use an eyelash curler right before mascara.

Use whatever mascara gives you favored results. Cover Girl LashBlash is really good for long, clump free lashes.

When you apply eyeshadow, dot some shimmery or pearly very light (or white) on the inside corners of eyes.

  6. try this---

    tint moisturizer from stila,

    mac- sudio fix

I have been using this two for almost 4 yers and even my close friend did not know that I use make-up
