How to get a hamster ?

Question

ok, so i got 2 hamsters when i was 6, they were both the best hamsters ever. sniffy and lucky (: but gradually sniffy died, and lucky ran away. i miss them so.

when i was 9, i begged for another pet, and despite being only 6 my parents thoughts i was young then, so they got me another one.

i lacked off from the responsibility as she kept on running away and hiding, and then strangely died. we had plenty of food and water, but days after we buried her, my dad thought she was just hibernating. but my mum said she would of already died.

i wantd a kitten, and begged for 3 months straight. but form the idea as it would be a never and my dad was allergic, i was thinking of getting a hamster again.

my dad said hamsters are stupider than rats, and my mum hates rodents. best answers possible, please (:

tbh, i think i sound a bit spoilt. sorry for saying things like that, but im going stick to the oppurtunity of getting another hamster.

well i heard of someone getting a pet rock so that could be a possibility??? but anyway if u really want a hamster u should show ur parents that u can actually take care of one. but my suggestion would be u should get somthing easier like a hermit crab or a turtle...?

Before you get another pet, you need to learn that, as they are living creatures, they need a responsible person to look after them.  Being responsible means not giving an animal the opportunity to run away to die somewhere from lack of proper food and care.  Being responsible means listing the cost of keeping your pet - food, supplies and, the most important one, adequate medical care - this would mean two visits a year to a veterinarian for an exam at, about, $50 per visit for two.  

As hamsters, usually, live no more than 2 years, why not consider getting two female guinea pigs so you'll have their company for, at the least, double that time?  Guinea pigs are nicer than hamsters and, of course, bigger but they are a better choice as pets.  Because of their size, if one decides to roam the house, you stand a better chance of catching it BUT, this will not happen if you allow them out of the cage in a room where doors and windows are closed.  The guinea pigs I've met have been very sweet-natured but need, at least, half an hour of petting and playing time every day plus brushing and nail trim once a week.  The brushing time is bonding time with you.

Print two copies of the info' on the link plus whatever else is important on the page links then, discuss this with your parents and don't forget to attach the list of expenses!  Instead of a big birthday or Christmas gift, your parents will probably agree to add $25 to the Guinea Pig Expense Box (and you'll still get a gift, or gifts!)   Don't forget  -- God created the animals and told us to care for them so, He expects us to do this.  Hope your parents will approve of guinea pigs for you.

if you are going to get a pet you need to be sure that you take care of them. and it sounds to me like you havn't been doing that. If you HAVE to have another hamster read EVERY SINGLE piece of info you can about them BEFORE you buy one.

Hamsters seem to have an awfully short life span around you. Stick to stuffed toy animals.

First you need to prove to your parents that now that you are older you are more responsible and you are responsible enough to take care of another hamster.  Offer to help out around the house etc.  I hope i helped!

get a bunnie easy to clean easy to play with easy to take care of and lives longer, they can be trained too look on youtube and ull see some cool stuff but you have to get 2 because it ill get lonely and die it happend to me unfortunantly
