  1. I don't get what your talking about. Are you talking about getting a horse off of a bittless bridle such as a bosal or about getting the horse collected and off of the bit?

Getting a horse "on the bit" as absolutely nothing to do with the bit.   You need to get the horse's hind end engaged and under him.  You need to allow the horse to raise his back to the rider's seat.  By doing this with gentle hands the horse will become lighter and more responsive to the riders aids.  This accomplished by half halts and forward push, you need to ride the horse from the back end and he will reward you by getting "on the bit"
