How to get a job at Harrah's/MGM?

I have been applied on line for a few time with Harrah's/MGM,but never got any response at all.

I heard that you have to know "Right person" or pay someone to get into a job at Strip Las Vegas, Is this true?

Are you applying at Harrah's or MGM?  These a two separate properties.  Instead of applying on-line, take a walk into the facility and visit the Human Resources or Staffing department.

I caught a glance of a huge sign on the AC expressway that said a new casino in florida (mgm i think) was hiring a lot of people, you should try and jump on it.

That's not true at all, but it may help a lot if you have had another job in a casino similar to the one you want to start with. For example i live and work in Vegas and when i first started i had to start at an off the strip casino until i got the experience they were looking for in the first place. Also the fact that tons of people are trying for the same job you are can make it hard for you to stand out. That coupled with the fact that right now is a slow time for the strip may be hurting your shot. I would go down in person and talk to the department head and talk to him yourself, that way you are going out to stand out to them. good luck.
