I'm already a licensed Hair Stylist. I just need to know if someone knows if there are differant laws when it comes to that profession in Germany, preferably Hamburg. Or is there is a website with a listing of differant salons in the city.

  1. Your American school will not be accepted in Germany. Germany has very strict rules about accepting only German education. If you can find a place that likes your work and wants to hire you, that is great, but the job market is VERY bad in Germany right now. I recently moved away from Germany and saw it first hand. The last I saw, the unemployment rate was over 11% and that means around 5 million people......

  2. Go to beauty school.

  3. As long as you speak the language and have a valid work permit findind a job as a hair stylist shouldn't be a problem. You can try to find open jobs on www.meinestadt.de

Try this link for open positions as a hair stylist: http://www.meinestadt.de/hamburg/jobs/jk...

Unfortunately all ads are in German

  4. just go through yellow pages of that city or own a new saloor by urself

  5. I know a lot of jobless hair sylists - that doesn't mean that you won't make it but times are difficult in Germany.

lots of businesses are clsing down, but there also a lot opening. Some are upper class but the most of them offer discount services which also means a "discount" income for you.

I wish you all the best in HH.

PS: Australia is in need of good stylists.

    There's a special immigration program.
