  1. Sorry to tell you that it won't be so easy as I thought. I have a friend from the USA who moved here and she told all that she had to go through to come and live here. According to what she told me the easiest way is to ask for a visa student but yuo have to study something here. For example a language. She took a 9 months italian course in a school in Pisa. This kind of visa allows you to work but I think she said you can work at most 20hours/week. In the meantime you could search for a job. If you find it you'll be able to ask for your visa to be turned into a working visa. Otherwise you can marry an italian man but I think it takes two years before you can ask for the italian citizenship.

  2. learn to speak the language- when in rome!...

  3. Learn Italian/Learn how to teach English

  4. find a company in canada that has an italy branch and is looking to send someone over there.

  5. I'd learn Italian for starters.

  6. It is very difficult to get a work or residence visa in italy...just as it is in Canada for outsiders...but even harder.  other european countries are the same.  You must have  a highly needed job skill.

see website below for contact info for the Italian Embassy in Canada.  They do not give specific visa info on the website except TOURIST visa info.  You will need to contact the Embassy.

  7. Even for italian is very difficult find a job
