How to get a job when you have no phone for call backs?

please dont ask ''how are you on a pc'' in the sarcastic tone ive gotten lately.there are mac stores with free wifi everywhere.

dont judge me monkey! :)

anyhow, what can i do if i have like 3 bucks, no family/friends in the state im in and will be out of a place this monday.

i know the alternative is a shelter but you have to stay there for a few nights to wait for a letter to get you sent to another shelter for help.ill be going there for that letter but its a night shelter only.i want to make this go faster and im asking if theres a way for me to get call backs without a phone? i was told about some prada center but i cant find info on it.

Do you want to use my voice mail? I can have everyone call me when I do not have a phone. I just listen to the messages and call them back. You need a phone to listen to the messages.

Why don't you get a prepaid phone?

I think you should look for places like restaurants that have "now hiring" signs.  And even go to ones that don't.  But the ideal thing would be to get hired on the spot, so they don't even have to call you back.  I've been hired several times by fast food chains that are desperately seeking help -- I go in, ask for an application, fill it out, hand it to them, they look at it right then, and say "Ok, when can you start?"  Try to find a newspaper to see what places are really trying to hire, and hopefully you'll find a place that will hire you right away.

Otherwise, if you fill out an app. and they don't hire you right away, you can just explain that you're going through a "transitional period" right now and don't have a phone at the moment.

You could also try going to a job agency or someplace like Manpower and see what they have in mind.  They've probably dealt before with people who don't have phones, so I'm sure they know more about it than I do.
