how do i get a pic like this using gimp?

EDIT - if your talking about the black and white background, then i suggest you don't do it on gimp. i mean you can, but there's easier ways to do it. if you go on picnik, you can simply convert your picture to black and white, then use the paintbrush to 'undo' certain parts of the picture (get the color back).

put the pic on paint...and you can do what eve r you want

Color the part you want  b&w(or color) and then leave the rest the opposite.
