It's been since march 2005 since I got the charge . It was suppose to be dropped when I pled guilty to a DUI , but didn't .

From your question it looks like as part of a plea the receiving charge was dropped in favor of the DUI.  Your criminal record should show the arrest but the charge being dropped. Unless you get the record of the case expunged it will stay there forever.

Now if you have a plea deal to drop the on case for the other and it was not done, contact you’re attorney and ask for the court records (known as court minutes) be reviewed and the records be updated.
