    are you a chef?

  3. Its very simple!!! Since you've been hired you have to apply for a Professional Permit at the BOI (Board of Investment). Checkout this link www.investmauritius.com and download the application forms from there.

If you marry her before coming its  much better and she will easily get a residence permit as your dependent but she has NO right to work.

As for the documents you need: your passport and hers + a photo copy of each, Birth certificate for both of you (since your wife is malgasy you'll to have an official translation of her birth certificate either in french or english) + photocopy, Marriage Certificate + photo copy, 4 passport size photos for each, a bankers cheque of Rs 10,000 in favour of the government of Mauritius. When you come to Mauritius take a business visa.

In addition you will have to perform medical tests for HIV, Hepatis B and  Chest X-ray for both of you and IT SHOULD BE DONE ONLY IN MAURITIUS.

With all this documents and the application form, you must go to the BOI which is found in Port Louis and submit the application. You will get your Permit and Residence Permit for your wife after 3 days.
