Question:

How to get a responsefrom bt? Do existing customers matter?

Changed isp in June. Bt contract up. Notified them when I got the MAC code.

They are still charging me £22.50 a month. No response from 2 emails. After 30 mins on phone was told they were still providing my b'band. Finally went off to check, admitted they were not. Money still taken from my account "excess will be refunded".

No proof it will and if I hadn't spotted it (online billing) I would have been overdrawn.

Meanwhile am also paying my current provider.

This is very unfair, they spend thousands advertising how good they are, drumming up business. I wouldn't have changed isp if they had been that good!

  1. Have you thought about contacting the chairman of BT? - if you go to www.btplc.com then you can get it from the annual reports.

I find if you start at the top it tends to get resolved quicker.

    Hope this helps?

  2. just saw your second question so I went back to find this one. I didn't answer it as I don't know the answer all I can say is go to the CAB office they are really good at dealing with things like this. Good luck.

  3. Put a stop on your direct debit And write snail mail.
