  1. you should like umm ask nabors evry ones a supect u kno

  2. Always keep your bike inside, mine are inside AND locked.

Keep photos and receipts both for insurance and proof of ownership.

The National Bike Registry lets you register your bikes, if they are found like when the perp is busted by the police .... you might get your bike back. Your bike has a BIN number (like VIN number but for bikes, get it?) usually on the down tube. This is what you need to register your bike.

If you have the BIN number register it now.

If you have photos/description take it to the local bike shops. If the thief takes your bike in, shops may recognize it. One of my buddies got his bike back this way.

Post to Craigs but not much details. If you put all the details, the thief unless he's a moron which he is ... just will not sell your bike on Craigs. So CHECK Craigs for your bike and look there but don't post the complete description.

    Got it?

Check Flea markets too. Lots of stolen bikes there.

I hate to say this but if your bike is good, nice kit and parts, by the time you type your question it's been taken apart and sold for parts. Most of us would recognize our bikes in an instant, so thieves don't keep them intact. If you have name brand parts they are gone. My Trek420 touring bike was so distinctive and unique that to this day if I saw the bike and guy who stole it I'd be typing this from prison ;-)

But likely the perp sold the Shimano Ultegra and Mavic wheels for a hit of crack.

Do not leave your bike outside, your bikes need to be under your @zz or locked. The good thing about the gas crisis is more people are riding, the bad thing is that crooks realize that bikes are valuable and they make their own getaway car.

  3. It depends on how hard you want to work to get it back. Check out local ads where people offer bikes for sale and watch for something that matches yours.

Visit bicycle shops and second hand stores and give them your serial number so that if your bike shows up they will know it's stolen.

Having said that, you'll still need a lot of luck to get it back.

  4. my mate had his bike stolen from a train station and he clamed it on his home insurance, you should probs try it, as for the bike its gone and ur most likely not getting it back sorry

  5. I hate to break the bad news but realistically you have no chance of ever seeing it again. I've had three stolen over the years and have never had one returned even although the thefts were reported to Police.

  6. just wait

  7. Probably kiss it good bye. Most stolen bikes are never seen again. NEVER leave it where it's an easy steal. It's like putting a "steal me" sign on it...

  8. Try posting a free ad on your local craigslist about it.  Someone may see your bike and contact you.  I don't know how effective it is, but I've seen a lot of "bike stolen" listings on craigslist, and hey, its free!

  9. Well, there's not a whole lot you can do.

The police might find it. But probably not. You yourself can't do much except wait.
