  1. Why are you leasing this car?  In most cases, a lease will end up costing you in the end.  Few people meet the "standard" for getting a lease.

I hope you don't plan on driving this car much because if you exceed the mileage (10-12,000 miles a year), you will pay dearly in the end. Many people drive 15-20,000 miles a year easily.  You will pay about $0.25 for every mile over the alloted mileage.  So 10,000 extra miles will cost an additional $2,500 due at turn in.

Oh, that scratch and this dent are not "normal wear and tear" and will cost you several hundred dollars to fix.

I know several people that leased cars and ended up having to buy them at turn in time because of excess mileage and the cost to fix the interior and exterior back to excellent appearance.  Might still be paying for a car eight years later.

    Here's one Pontiac lease offer:

    --------------------------------------...

    2008 Pontiac G6 Sedan 1SV

    Low-Mileage Lease for Qualified Lessees

    $199/month 39 month lease

$2499 due at signing (after all offers).

    No security deposit required.

Tax, title, license, dealer fees and optional equipment extra.

Mileage charge of $.25 /mile over 32500 miles.

    --------------------------------------...

On the above car, you will have paid 10,260 after 3.25 years ($199/mo + 2,500 signing)= $263/mo real cost and you still don't own it.

LEASING makes sense for only a very small group of people and you probably are not one of them!

  2. With one of your parents with you, it shouldn't be a problem to take one for a spin.  Some dealers though have an age limit of 18, so keep that in mind.  Also, they may be strict on who can drive the G8 GT, so plan on only being able to drive the uninspiring V6.

  3. Wait.
