How to get a tracking number with the mail?

I live in Richmond, VA, and have to send something to Texas and was wondering how much it would cost to get a tracking number on the package. It weighs about 3 or 4 pounds. Thanks

You need to send it guaranteed delivery or just insured which will protect your package and give you the tracking. It's very reasonable, and goes by worth. Go to www.usps.com and pick shipping (you can even prepay and print your label from home), and request a pick up from your mailman. You'll see it all on there. Shouldn't cost you much at all.
