How to get a website sponsored?

I'm looking to create a website for a business and i want to get sponsors to advertise on my website. how do i get sponsors and do the sponsors pay you? i thought of this because of this 14 yr old girl i saw on the news becoming a millionaire because she started a website for friends, then got tons of people to advertise on her website.

u can sign up for Google AdSense advertising program and place their ads on your website.

There are ways, but not until you get more than 100 000 hits per month. You usually have to sign with a company like Fetch50k who will help you get 100 000 hits per month - then you can start selling advertising.

You also have to work wtih a group who have good advertising and good websites. I work with www.divanetworking.blogspot.com (join the yahoo group). Almost all their members get more than 1m hits a year, and they sell advertsing to members for abotu $10 a month.
