I have always had trouble getting something to print out in the dimensions that I want. How would I make say a circle print out that was exactly 3 inches on paper? or how could I get a picture to be 5 3/4 inches by 1 11/16 inches on paper? Trying to stretch and shrink in paint is useless. Any ideas??

  1. Using Word for design work is not going to work.

You need Photoshop of some other graphic design software.

    Gimp is free.

  2. Word processors won't do what you are expecting them to do. They are just what their name implies - processing words not designs.

If you have Office, use PowerPoint. If you don't, get OpenOffice, it has a drawing utility, a presentation utility and the same things as MSOffice has and it's free.
