How to get an 0800 number?

Question

I have a small business and wish to get a 0800 number that is easy to remember.My local phone company, AT&T say that they have none available.There are a few companies online who offer to transfer old 0800 numbers, but they charge hundreds of dollars.If an old 0800 number becomes available, how do I get it?

Just get an 888 or 877 number.  That is very excepted these days.  Otherwise, you will just have to pay the mark up.

you can not OWN a phone number....the number usually belong to the phone company!!
