  1. A big non-profit organization is the public school systems and they always need teachers. I'm not sure about the ibu guru but I actually have helped get non-certified people with bachelor's degrees obtain H-1B visas and they just need to get certified within 1 year of approval.  ISD's even have whole departments dedicated to the hire of foreign teachers because there is a huge demand for teachers.  In America we are in need of educated people and we can't get enough gr-8 teachers.  Good Luck!

  2. You have to apply for available jobs and let them know when you apply that you will require the employer to obtain an employment visa for you.  Public schools do not obtain visas for teachers, so contrary to one suggestion, that cannot be done.  Furthermore, you do not have certification to teach.

Jobs are getting harder to come by in the US.  Over 380,000 Americans are losing their jobs every week.  An employer, to get a visa for a foreign worker, must prove that there are no Americans qualified for the position.  That is increasingly difficult to do with so many new grads entering the workforce in addition to the millions of experienced Americans seeking new employment.

Also, the processing time for an employment visa is increasing dramatically as more foreigners are also seeking employment here just as jobs are vanishing.

You have little hope of finding a job in the US right now, and less chance of keeping it very long.  Many employers of foreign workers are not renewing existing visas, or are revoking them outright.  In either case, the worker must immediately return to their own country at their expense.

Look for work in your own country.  The job market in the US is poor and deteriorating rapidly.

  3. I agree with answer #1 and disagree with answer #2

    Why?

The US is in high demand for public school teachers. There are not enough positions being filled for teachers therefore, there is no cap on visas when applying for a teachers position.

Despite the rift in the economy, teachers in public schools mainly middle schools and elementary are in demand. Getting an H1-B for this job will not be difficult to obtain provided you have the right qualifications for them
