How to get an internship at Flare or Elle Canada?

Nexy year i am taking co-op, and i would love to do my co-op at Elle Canada or Flare. They are both located in Toronto where i live. I have sent both companies emails, but does anyone have any ideas?

Also, is it called an intership if you are taking it as co-op?
