How to get an invetion up and running?

Question

well i wont tell wat its for copyright reasons,but i need to know how i can get it up and running,,i need help ,, its a its made of a soft materal and is for a baby and also need a wind up part,,can any one tell me how to do this.... sorry its a little vage but i dont want to say to much,,,

Build it!  Sounds like you can find most of the parts at Wal-Mart.  When you've got a working model, you can contact the patent office.  I haven't done that in a while, but I contacted them about 10 years ago and they wanted $500 just to make sure no one had patented it before.  Maybe with advances in computers it's cheaper now.  Hopefully.
