So,i left an open can of dr. p in my car and now i have tons of ants...and can't get rid of them.

I've tried cleaning my car out, spraying some bug spray, and vacuuming it...and the next morning they are back and just as bad.

Is there anyway great ways to get rid of them?

thanks!

  1. There must be a food source in there, wether it be food, water, some forms of mold. Your car really just needs a good deep cleaning.Without any type of food source they wont like a automobile as a home. Is your car always damp?

Knowing what type of ant it is would help aswell.

To the person below me. Your grit theory is a urban myth, about the same as the myth that rice thrown at weddings will make the birds swell up and die, this simple isnt true. All this will do is supply the ants with more food. Dont believe. Do a test. Put some grits near a ant hill and see if they die off or multiply even faster, Corn(grits) are a excellent food source.

  2. Clean your car really good. Spray with an ant killer or you could put some grits in a small flat container and they will take them back to the nest to feed the other ants, drink water and swell up and die. This avoids the spray odor.
