  1. haha i've had the same problem. Definitely try and get on a horse at least twice a week, and try working without stirrups. if youre at home, go to a step or ledge or something and balance on the balls of your feet, keeping your heels down like you would in the saddle, and hold it.

  2. Stair walking ,,

and get your lower legs to stretch ,, and Jog. Not on tippy toes !

Ridding is the best exercise you can get ,,really !!

So 7 months is not that long off ,, muscles  have memory

Just when you get get a bit sore just take a Iburofen,, and keep up the hard work,,

    Good luck ,, I have ridden race,show,e,t,c,

I was off for over a yr ,( 2 steel rods put in ),, Just get back into it ,, period .

    Just like anything else,,

    good luck

  3. just keep riding soon or later you will be back in shape

    try stretching before riding

and try some excercises for the your calf muscles

  4. hey there! i am an apprentice jockey and in this Field am familiar with many injuries and setbacks, i have been riding horses from when i could walk and talk and have found no matter how hard you prepare yourself nothing actually beats riding fitness!

can i suggest lots of stretching before and after you ride your muscles will be sore for around a week but this will help!

good luck with whatever type of riding you are doing!!
