I am going into 9th grade and i want to play on the freshman team. I made the team in 7th grade but quit right before the pictures were taken. I have regreted it since. I have been playing ever since i quit. I constantly play. 3 girls from the volleyball team told be i should play and that i would make the team. The future 8th grade coach asked me why i never played when i was playing with her at school. How do i get better and make the team?? I can bump, serve well, set, and spike.

  1. If you can bump, serve well, set, and spike, and you're friends tell you you're good enough you'll definitely make the freshman team...I don't understand your question.

  2. go 4 it

    ur ready champ

  3. Give it your absolute all and hope for the best ( :

  4. since you haven't played since 7th grade you will have a bit of catching up to do. (even if you do play alot still) high school level of play is substantially higher than junior high. you need to take it seriously. just keep playing as much as you can and try to go to your nearest fitness center and lift weights. have a friend go with you (the motivation of having another person with you helps alot!) it helps to be stronger, so you have more endurance and a higher vertical. just play hard and have fun!

  5. Um... I would conditon make sure you are in tip top shape for the try outs an pratice the stuff you will need like bumping to yourself and setting to yourself and practice for the postion you are going to play like hitter setter librao!

  6. OK, it's good you want to get back on the team, because that the motivation you'll need.

First of all, use cardio work outs and get yourself in shape, no matter what it takes.  Also, work with your friends from the previous team and play whenever you can, even if it's just bumping with another player.

Be your best, do your best, and no regrets. That's what you should live by, persevere and you go in with confidence and the coaches will see that.  Have fun with it! GOOD LUCK!!!!

  7. I have no idea what you're talking about. Good luck though! :)

  8. just keep pushing for improvement and try back out.

keep a positive attitude and give it your all.

  9. well if your good then go for it you should do well c:

  10. I practiced on my garage, passing, setting, and even serving all summer before tryouts. My parents weren't too happy about me beating up the garage, but the persistance payed off and i made the team.
