  1. if you want your data too,you should use an application like "recover my files".

  2. 1. Double-click "My Computer".

    2. When the "My Computer" folder appears, click the "Tools" menu and select "Options".

    3. When the "Folder Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, select the "View" tab

    4. Check "Show My Documents on the Desktop".

    5. Press "OK" to close the dialog box.

Note - if that checkbox was already checked, go through the above steps and uncheck the box and press "OK". Then, go back and recheck the box. This should cause the "My Documents" folder to reappear on your Windows Desktop.

  3. If you're running XP.....

Right-click a blank area on the desktop

    click on the Desktop tab

click on Customise Desktop then put a tick in the My Documents tickbox.

  4. go into the recycling bin, right click "my documents" and click restore

  5. you go under the start menu where you see the icon for my documents.  you right click on it and it should say show on desktop or you can just copy and paste it on the desktop

  6. right click on my documents in start and select show on desktop

  7. Check your Recycle bin. If it is still there, right click and go restore.

Otherwise, you will need to re-create it again (easy) and start over
