Im trying to get tv signals in my apartment but they are there one day and gone the next. What is the best way to do this. I live in south carolina , on the first floor of a three story. I have a LCD HD TV and want the most Digital channels I can get. Im using a Philips SDV2210/17. I also have a powered inline amplifier but it doesn't seem to do anything. Any help would be great thanks

  1. Put your antenna in a window pointed at the transmitter. Window glass will pass TV signals, but often walls won't.

  2. Same with my digital stations. Its like a cellphone signal, maybe lots of local interference during days of distorted signal. I may suggest to position antenna near windows, try disconnecting the inline amp, and make the wirings a short as possible because they contribute to signal loss. Place cordless phones away fr the tv. Roof top antenna is always better than indoor. But don't worry, most digital stations are still in test broadcast, they are not broadcasting in full power. Also interference with analog TV and radio stations are still out there, by february 2009 they should be gone.. atleast we can have a precise digital reception by that time.
