Madikeri is quite far that way from bangalore. you can get there using state bus service KSRTC. in case you are particular about taxi; approach travel agent like satya sai/janani tours etc.

Also i guess KSRTC can also provide you taxi fro the same which has a counter at bangalore airport.

I suggest  you fly down to mangalore airport. Madekeri is just 3 hours from mangalore. you coulkd even visit the beautiful beaches of mangalore on the way. Summer Sands is a wonderful beach resort in Mangalore , ullal.
