How to get cats out from under house?

Our neighbors cat got into one of the vents under our house and gave birth there. There are three kittens there now, and they hang out around the largest open vent which was loose. My sister says they come out into the yard occasionally, staying near the vent. How can we get them out?

  1. With a wildlife cage, you put some food in it and when they go in it closes and traps them in.  Have to make sure their weened though other wise they wont be able nurse.  Might want to call our local shelter and see if they have a cage or if they can catch the mother and kittens as they have more experience at it.

  2. Firehose; the excess hydrogen bonds that are emitted from the solution will cause the cats to leave... or die.

  3. Depending on the age, you can try to lure them out with milk or food. If they are too young for that them set out a large box lined with blankets/towels and the mother cat may move them to it if she feels it is safer and a better home. If you're really concerned then when they come out in the yard on their own you can grab them and set them in the box - the mother cat will find them if it's close to where she had them before.

  4. Seems like they are approaching 4 or so weeks, and starting to explore.  They will be very cautious.  Contact a rescue group who can assist you in traps and methods to capture them all.  And you want to get them all.  Not sure who to call? Pretend you are searching for a cat in your area through Petfinder.com and everyone who has cats will show up.  Then make some calls and explain your situation.

And try to have your neighbor spay her cat.  There are already too many kittens in need of homes.

  5. lure them out with food

  6. It will be difficult and the best thing to do might be to call Animal Control.

    Good luck!
