How to get channel 26 to work?

i have Dtv (digal converter box) and for anyone who does can you help me

chaanel 26 never works it all always says weak signal

i tryied to move to move for a better signal and the antenal

but it still does work

  1. You may want to do some research before purchasing just any type of antenna.  I'm attaching (2) Links, One for short distance recommendations for DTV antennas, and one for rural consumers wishing to improve reception.

    I would recommend buying an indoor powered antenna first from a store with a good return policy.

    They cost anywhere from $20-$40. Installation time takes less than 5 minutes (One wire to connect to the converter), and the antenna itself is pretty easy to hide behind the TV due to its small size.

    Once you get everything installed, and turn the TV on, you’ll know right away if it’s the right one, or if you may want to upgrade to a larger outdoor antenna.


  2. are you in the city, so you know you are near the transmitter tower?  or do you know that channel 26 is broadcast from 30 or more miles away?

    If you are near, a simple HDTV antenna like this one would help
