How to get downloaded Sims 2 objects onto the game!?

I'm so confused, and have no idea what to do! Last time I asked a couple weeks ago, someone said something about unzipping for something but i don't know what any of that stuff means.I really want some new hairstyles and clothes. Please explain it step by step how to do! 10 points best answer! Thanks :)

1. after download, unzip the file.

2. go to EA Games in My Document

3. open collections

4. copy paste your downloads into collections

Download and install an archiver

I use winrar

http://www.win-rar.com/download.html

Unzip the file ( right click file and click unzip/extract)

if it's a .package

(go to my documents) \EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads (if it's no there create it)

and just paste them in there.

if it's a .sims2pack

use the PackageInstaller.exe in the \CSBin folder in the main game folder (should automatically use this program)
