How to get free plastic surgery??

Question

I am wondering if surgeons ever offer their services for free because they see the patient as a good example to build their portfolio or something....??

How can I go about asking my surgeon if he woulod consider this? I wold prefer surgeons to answer please!

I don't think any plastic surgeons offer their services for free.  Think about it: if you have gone to school for 12 years+ would you want to give away your education for free?  Save up and make sure you go to the best of the best.

well im not a surgeon,im 15 but dont get plastic surgery.When you get older it will look really bad and older then you look,yes it may look good now but thing about the future. :]]

If you have a serious deformity, like cleft palate, etc. and are indigent, there are organizations that will help you get the needed repair. Cosmetic surgery is not done free as a rule.  One of our local Plastic Surgeons goes to Mexico a couple of months a year to repair cleft lip, cleft palates, other congenital deformities- free of charge. Don't expect a free breast implant, facelift, tummy tuck, tho.

Well, I think that basic plastic surgery is covered by social assistance (welfare) and is free. Other than welfare, It's outta your pocket money. What do you wanna have surgery on? If it isn't health related, I advise you to leave it alone. If it's weight loss, you'll be much more happier and confident that you changed your life and not a knife

I can pretty much guarantee that they do NOT give away their services for free.  Every patient is a potential lawsuit, you know, and they are not going to incur that risk without some serious financial gain.

Many plastic surgeons run their own OR, and that costs plenty.  S/he also has to pay the nursing staff, buy the supplies, cover malpractice insurance costs, overhead, etc.  If you got the surgery for free, the surgeon would be out hundreds to thousands of dollars.

The only way to get free or reduced cost surgery is to work for a plastic surgeon.  Usually after a year or more, you cna start getting discounts.  If you work for one for a long time (10, 15 years) you might start getting stuff for free.

Either that or marry one.  They always work on their wives.
