How to get from Europe to Chile without flying?

...for example, London to Santiago. I know that flying would be the obvious choice, but in this case it is out of the question. Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

Freight ship. It is horrible expensive though. If this is more than just a random question email me and I'll dig up the specialised travel catalogue I've got lying around at home.

Would have to be a ship from London to Valparaiso but that means going all the way down south the Beagle channel. There are some cruise ships that do that route, pretty expensive though. Chile lies on the Pacific, it's cheaper to take a ship from Asia to Chile or from Australia.
