  1. Yep take the tube... Picadilly Line leaves from Heathrow, and change at South Kensington station for either a Circle or District Line train to Westminster.  Once you get there the Eye is just on the other side of the river (you'll also get to see Big Ben)

  2. Take the London Underground (subway).

    According to wikipeida:

The London Eye is located at the western end of Jubilee Gardens, on the South Bank of the River Thames in London, England, between Westminster Bridge and Hungerford Bridge. The site is adjacent to that of the former Dome of Discovery, which was built for the Festival of Britain in 1951.

There are 3 tube stops near the Eye:

        * Embankment tube station (District, Circle, Bakerloo, Northern lines)

        * Westminster tube station (Jubilee, District, Circle lines)

        * Waterloo station (Waterloo & City, Bakerloo, Jubilee, Northern lines)

I would probably go to the Westminister tube station:

I like this station best because you come out of the station you get a good view of Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliment, including the tower that houses the bell known as Big Ben.

From Heathrow, take the Picadilly Line to Green Park station, then transfer to the Jubilee line and take it to Westminister.
