How to get from guildford to preston park?!!!!!?

anyone know, aparently i gotta get on a bus to gatwick airport from guildford train station then once i get there il get on a train...(not sure which 1 yet!) then my gf said she'l pick me up from where the train stops...so can any1 help me out plz!?

A bus to Gatwick, or Three Bridges. You then need to get a slow Brighton train from either stopping at Preston Park. From Gatwick the trains are at 11, 28 and 41 minutes past the hour (few minutes later at Three Bridges) and the journey takes round about half an hour.
