Question:

How to get gum off a bathtub?

Hello, it seems my friends in a drunken stupor thought it would be funny to put gum in my bathtub... and then smear it around.

I have to move out in a week b/c my lease is ending, and I have been trying VERY hard to get the gum up, but all it seems to do is get thinner and more spread out more!

Please help me!

I have tried using a spoon, a knife and a kitchen sos pad to get it up and all have failed. :(

  1. try buying this stuff called goo b gone it works great on sticky stuff. its only like $4.00 at the hardware store.

  2. Put peanut butter on it. Something in the oils makes the gum release. It definitely works for hair (experience with my little brother!) so I'm sure it owuld work on a smooth surface.

    .. Use creamy!

And yes, it's adding more mess, but at least it'll be clean eventually!

  3. You can use a hairdryer on low heat, the gum will become soft which can then be rolled up into a ball and removed. You can also put a small amount of lighter fluid on it, this will help soften the gum so it can be removed easily. I think you can also find gum removal solvents at most hardware stores.

  4. Get some lighter fluid, It will eat that gum. It will even get it out of clothes.!!
