i just dropped a lot of wax, almost half of the bottle, on my carpet and i really need help getting it off. I have tried to put paper and brown paper bags over it and then iron over it, but that has helped pretty mildly and it doesnt work out great. My mom doesnt know about this, so i cant exactly go out and buy items to clean this with. Can anyone please tell me a way to take the hair removal wax off with everyday ousehold items?

  1. What kind of paper are you using?  Try paper towels, they are more absorbent.

  2. Check out this reference -- has information on how to remove all kinds of substances from carpets/ area rugs.

    Hope this helps!

  3. Paper towels and a WARM iron, make sure the iron stays on the towels and no let it touch the carpet. Keep moving the towels and use more towels This method will work.  Then if it was a colored wax, after you got all the wax up, you may need to blot with rubbing alcohol to get the color up.

  4. Try freezing the wax with ice cubes or a bag of frozen veggies and breaking it off. Then use the iron method to remove the rest.

  5. This is really worth a try.  It's for candle wax, but in general the method of using an iron doesn't work.

you may have to repeat the procedure several times,  good luck!
