Very few people who work in racing ever make millions!  As an owner, the sport should always be treated as a hobby because 90% of horses will never earn back their sale value, and you are lucky if they pay for thei own keep throughout the year (in GB it costs an average of £16,000 to keep a horse in training, and that does not include any emergancy vet fees, etc).

Again, only the very best trainers and jockeys will make millions (in fact I could probably count on ten fingers the number of "millionaire" trainers and jockeys at the moment.  You can make reasonable money, but the hours are long and tiring, and it will take years to reach that sort of level.

Anyone who tries to make their millions through gambling is a fool!  Gambling should always be a side "hobby" of sorts.  You should never bet more than you can afford to lose and I'd say if you bet large amonts every day, you are on the verge of a serious problem.

spend five or ten bucks each saturday on a fluky quadrella or first four. Some people pick the same combo of numbers regardless of odds. This won't cost you much and you never know, your numbers might just come up one day.

A fellow trainer told me one time, the best way to make a million dollars in horse racing, is to start with 2 million dollars, and quit when you get down to 1 million!

Serious handicappers go after the big Pick 6 pools. BUT you will lose a lot more than you win if you are not a GREAT handicapper. In the 6 legs of this bet you really need to single ONE horse in at least one race if not 2 to keep the cost down. Even if you can narrow your choices down in one or two races the cost of a pick six can ( and often does) run into thousands of dollars.
