How to get into UCLA?

I signed up for a program with the Red Cross today for Community hours but I still have a feeling I'm a little bit short on my plan...

UCLA is more focused on academics so excellent grades and great test scores are essential. Take rigorous courses every year and participate in as many extracurricular activities as you can balance with your course load. Leadership positions are important so work your way up to the top.

Take the most AP and honors classes you possibly can, do well and start working towards a high SAT score and you'll be in good shape.
