I was suppose to go to a college institute right after high school since they didn’t require the sat’s I never took them, I ended up not going to that school & now I would like to go to a regular 4year college. How can I get into a regular college if I never took my sat’s?

  1. take them now, take the act if you want.

almost every school requires an SAT score while some ask for an ACT as a replacement. or some take both...it depends on your school

  2. Try taking the ACT's. I went to a 4 year college and never took the SAT's

  3. many college institutions offer a test that you take before hand that will determine what classes you are able to take.... this is what my boyfriend had to do.... he didn't get his diploma, so he went back 3 years later, got his GED and now is enrolled in college with me, and all he had to do was take a placement test... this just determines if you are ready to enter college life, and what classes you should start with.... usually there are 3 levels... and if you need them, you take the prep courses.... then enter into normal college life... best of luck to you with your academics :)

If you really want to get into a particular college, and if worst comes to worst, and it is ABSOLUTELY necessary, you CAN go take the SAT/ACT at a high school, you don't have to be a high school student.... you just have to sign up on the SAT website for the test, then print out your reservation... I think it costs $20, but im not 100% positive, then they will mail your results to you, i believe within 30-45 days, but then again this is from my senior year, which was in 2006...

    here is the SAT website....

plus, college board (that website) has a lot of other really great tools to help you while planning for school and enrolled... good luck :)

  4. you can't. yourbest chance is a 4 year community college, but i'm not sure they would even let you in, but you can still take the SAT's anyway, so you can get into a better college.

  5. try going to a community school then transfer. its easier and cheaper too!

  6. You will have to take your SAT's for a 4 year college.  I will be going to a community college and then transferring over to a four year.  I've already begun to study for the SAT's so I know what you're feeling but you have to do this so that they know your strengths and weaknesses as well as you.

  7. There are some schools that don't even look at SATs. Do some research and try to find them! I think there is one in New York.

  8. You can take the ACTs, or take the SATs now... You should also check out colleges that do not require standardized test scores - This policy is becoming more and more popular, so you should easily be able to find an appropriate university.
