  2. In order to get into any top 15 MBA program, you will need the following:

    1.  High GPA from your undergraduate school (or previous graduate program).  The GPA isn't quite as important as it is for academic graduate programs -- but it is important.  Your undergraduate major is not important.

    2.  Three to five years of work experience.  The top schools are leaning more towards five years.  It helps if you have a good job or an unusual job.  Working at a top company or in an overseas job is a plus.

    3.  High GMAT score.  The average at the top schools in now in the 700 range.

    4.  Great interview and admissions essays.  This is critical.  Stanford and Harvard, in particular, have a lot of essays.

    5.  The quality of your undergraduate school is important.  The top schools accept very few graduates of third or fourth tier universities (with the exception of those graduating from HCBUs).
