  1. tell him everyday to never give up or make stupid decisions that could affect his chances (drinking smoking)

im going to be a senior this year and i already have colleges calling and emailing me to play football AND run track for their school. my mom always believed in me and i think that helped alot. i never made dumb choices either

its also never to early to start emailing schools once you hit highschool. when they get there first bit of varsity time make highlight tapes and start sending them out right away!

  2. they locate you, but first you have to go to 2 years of play ncaa football which means college ball. you can not just sign up to the draft!

  3. his chance of making it r a bit more then winning the lottery

  4. if he is realy that good (which i doubt) then he will probly get an agent and he will take care of it

  5. Well if your son never played college ball, best thing to do is just trey out for practice squads.  If he makes that, then he could have a shot.  But remember about 1.8 % of college players go to the NFL, college players.

  6. Tell your son it is very unlikely to make it into the league, but he can make it if his heart is in it.

  7. wow.... how old is he>???? he needs 2 play COLLEGE football... and thena college can DRAFT him or SIGN him outta college. u dont "get into the draft".. u play college football and then if ur good enoguh u go pro....

  8. He has to play college ball first.

  9. Ok this is how I see it...

First of all, as I have no idea how old your son is, I'll guess he's just starting college. If he didn't play football in High School, he will need to walk on to the practice field and try to make an impression on the coaches. If he has enrolled in a D1 school, his chances and VERY slim. But D2 or D3 he may stand a chance.

He needs to work really hard at his form, condition and mentality to even stand a chance of being seen by scouts / agents. But remember, he needs to keep a certain GPA (Grade Point Average) as well so it is extremely difficult.

If he is lucky enough to get scouted by NFL coaches (which will probably happen in his junior or senior year) then they will invite him to go for a scouting combine which is normally held in Indy. There, scouts from around the league will watch him do drills and exercises and evaluate him based on whether they need his position or not.

Every year in April, 250ish players are chosen by the 32 NFL teams in an auction-style event known as the Draft. If a team has a need at your sons position (providing he gets that far) he may get picked in one of the 7 rounds.

    Hope that helps

  10. Its gonna take a lot of skill and effort, and if he;s good enough then sign an agent he'll take care of it or go to ur local football coaches for help and tryout for the practice squad as well
